Yes, I have had several nicknames or aliases in this music industry. I remember first starting out people called me B Rev The Producer LOL! Then it changed to C.I.K. Beatz, then to Strych9 Musik and now I just go by my real name. For me it was about not being stuck or ties to a name as I felt that it would sort of box me in, in some capacity. But when you look at the landscape of music artists, almost everyone has some sort of alias or moniker.

Thanks for commenting. It makes one fell less alone.

I see you've changed your aliases over the years. I guess this speaks to nothing being static.

Also, I guess, monikers speak to creativity. And maybe convention and expectations: like if you're a musician, you have to have a moniker.

I'm also reminded of musicians with names such as Beatoven, which as you would know, a play on Beethoven.

Thanks again for the comment.

Yes I understand that feeling here on Substack LOL!.

Yes, the names have definitely changed over the years as my career changed and grew from those moments in life as well as trying to stay creative and spark new innovation in my music journey.

Here in Atlanta, we have a producer named Zaytoven :)
