IntraVenus Moving Back To Florida To Work On New Album
The musician says he’s always been involved in music.
Although Tampa-born and raised musician IntraVenus discovered a love for Hip hop when he was fifteen, he says he cannot imagine a time he was ever away from music since his mother was a musician.
Good music has to have ‘heart and a message’, IntraVenus says.
In a few weeks, he says, he’ll be relocating back to Florida to work on a new album.
We wish him all the best.
If you’re a musician and also want to be interviewed like IntraVenus, start the process using the button below.
L. Sojini (L.S): Can you tell us about yourself? Where you’re from and what kind of musician you are.
IntraVenus: I was born and raised in Tampa, FL. I grew up on music like Korn and the Smashing Pumpkins.
I wrote my first full song when I was in the third grade. I moved to Ward, CO when I was fifteen and that's where I discovered my love for Hip hop music.
L.S: How did you get into music?
IntraVenus: My mother was a singer and I grew up around good, loud music.
I think I was born having an interest in music. I'm not sure there ever was a time that I wasn't into it.
L.S: What do you think makes good music?
IntraVenus: I think originality and soul combined make the best music. It's got to have heart and a message.
L.S: What are your strengths and weaknesses as a musician?
IntraVenus: I would say that my strength lies in my experience and versatility.
My weakness would be my bank account.
L. S: What are you currently working on?
IntraVenus: I'm relocating back to Florida in a few weeks, where I will begin writing and recording my next album.
L.S: How do you approach music? As in, what’s your philosophy when it comes to making music?
L.S: For me it's a diary of my own thoughts, emotions and personal experiences.
I make music to remind myself and others to never give up and also to be independent thinkers.
L.S: What are you most proud of to have achieved as a musician?
L.S: I have gotten people in twenty two countries around the world to hear my music all on my own.
From start to finish I've produced, written, performed, recorded, mixed, mastered and released every single song that I've ever made. I'm pretty proud of that.
L.S: How do you promote your music?
IntraVenus: Guerrilla marketing mostly. I don't have a lot of money. I'm a DIY one-man band.
L.S: Favourite musician? Why?
IntraVenus: Jonathan Davis of KoRn. Because he has led a hard life and no matter what, he keeps on going.
He's remained himself over the decades even with all of his internal struggles and put out countless musical hits in my book.
L.S: What’s your advice or message to fellow musicians?
IntraVenus: Don't do it for anyone but yourself. Believe in yourself and never, ever give up.
L.S: Can you recommend one musician you’ve worked with that The Musician can interview next? You can share their Twitter handle.
IntraVenus: I recommend @WolfAlexzan (Fenrir 🐺)
