This is a simple question, or is it? It’s simple enough that you can understand and respond to it: how does a musician look like?
It’s like this: if I show you a picture of a musician, you would be like: ‘Yeah, that’s exactly how a musician looks like.’; or you might say: ‘No ways: a musician doesn’t look like that!’.
I mean, people expect a musician to look a certain way, so if possible, do send me a pic of yours and let me see how you look like. Do you look like a typical musician, or maybe you don’t look like a musician at all? I’m curious to know.
As a writer, I was glad some years back when somebody saw me watching a Philip Roth interview. And the person said I was dressed like Roth. This made me feel proud. I remember telling the person that I wanted to look like a writer.
If what I asked is a simple question, we can ask more complex questions like:
How does a musician think like? This is a very important question. It speaks about your outlook. Your outlook probably determines what kind of music you make, the beats you make or sing over.
We can also ask: How does a musician NOT think like? I mean, as a writer you don’t have to be shortsighted, figuratively I mean; but that don’t mean a shortsighted musician won’t make awesome music.
So, let me end this email and blog by asking that simple question: how does a musician look like?

Will send that picture. I'm first a writer, I was always a writer. Through the years I have evolved into a girl with too many hobbies. Musician, producer, author, wildlife rehabilitator, child advocate, education advocate, google developer, medical professional, brand ambassador, affiliate. My intention is not to gain fame or fortune only to fund my foundation that aims to help children all over the world fund a education. So I wonder... Do I look like any of those labels of mine.. I definitely turn heads in my trip jeans while making hiphop beats.
