Eazzyerapgod Working On New Extended Play
The Hip hop artist from Enugu State, Nigeria, talks about his musical journey and thechallenges of being independent.
L. SOJINI: Can you tell us about yourself? Where you’re from and what kind of musician you are.
EAZZYERAPGOD: My name is Okechukwu Ezechukwu Joseph a.k.a. Eazzyerapgod. I'm from Enugu State, Nigeria.
I'm a Hip hop artist.
L. SOJINI: How did you get into music?
EAZZYERAPGOD: I got into music from inspiration from Eminem. His power in words control, wordplay, metaphors, rhyming schemes and choice of instrumentals makes him outstanding. Coupled with my love for music pushed me into making music.
L. SOJINI: What do you think makes good music?
EAZZYERAPGOD: What makes a good music is choice of good instrumentals, good delivery pattern, good lyrical content, good mixing and mastering and good production.
L. SOJINI: What are your strengths and weaknesses as a musician?
EAZZYERAPGOD: My strength is the good lyrical content in my songs, good delivery patterns and good choice of instrumentals.
My weakness is lack of good production manager, lack of vocal coach, lack of financial support, poor promotion strategy and lack of good musical equipment for quality production.
L. SOJINI: What are you currently working on?
EAZZYERAPGOD: I'm working on an EP titled Back Again.
L. SOJINI: How do you approach music? As in, what’s your philosophy when it comes to making music?
EAZZYERAPGOD: My philosophy in making music is all about story telling (true life stories or past events).
L. SOJINI: What are you proud of to have achieved the most as a musician?
EAZZYERAPGOD: What I'm proud of is my interview with stone street entertainment a record label based in the United States, featured in Grimes Magazine written and published by Alicia Grimes, a YouTuber and a music star based in Chicago, United States, featured Alicia Grimes in one of my songs titled ‘Big Dreams’, featured in a talk show Tina Talk Show based in the United Kingdom.
L. SOJINI: How do you promote your music?
EAZZYERAPGOD: I promote my music through Twitter, Facebook and Instagram by sharing the links to my songs in Spotify and other online digital platforms.
L. SOJINI: Favourite musician? Why?
EAZZYERAPGOD: Eminem is my favorite musician because his lyrics are philosophic and out of this world.
L. SOJINI: What’s your advice or message to fellow musicians?
EAZZYERAPGOD: My advice to my fellow musicians is to keep making good music, keep working hard and keep pushing hard you will get to the top soon.
